Own The Bot is a platform operated by Remount, Inc., a Delaware C-corporation (“Remount,” “we,” “us”). This policy describes what we collect on the waitlist landing page at ownthebot.org, how we use it, and how you can remove it.
What we collect
- Email address (required) — so we can confirm your signup and send you updates.
- City (required) — so we know where to prioritize.
- Platforms you drive for (required) — so we can build for the platforms drivers actually use.
- Optional profile: years driving, weekly hours, weekly earnings range. You can skip any of this.
- Opt-ins: the communication channels you agree to, including press and operator-role interest.
- Referral code: a unique code assigned to your signup plus the code (if any) you signed up through.
- Technical metadata: IP address, user agent, approximate geolocation-by-IP (city/region/country), and a basic device fingerprint — used to prevent spam and to personalize your confirmation screen. Geolocation is not resolved beyond city and is not linked to a street address.
What we don't collect
- No Social Security number, no government ID, no bank information.
- No payment data — because we don't charge anything on the waitlist.
- No crypto wallet data — the waitlist is not a crypto product.
- No linked Uber/Lyft/DoorDash account — we are not asking you to connect a platform.
How we use it
- To confirm your email and send you progress updates about Remount and Own The Bot.
- To prioritize cities and features based on where our waitlist is strongest.
- To credit Operator Points correctly, including referral bonuses.
- To detect signup abuse (spam, duplicate accounts).
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data.We don't share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or other third-party marketers. Period.
- We don't share your data with Uber, Lyft, Waymo, or any rideshare / robotaxi operator.
- We don't profile you for creditworthiness, insurance risk, or any adverse action.
Service providers we use
We run on industry-standard infrastructure. Your data passes through the following processors, each under a data-processing agreement:
- Vercel — hosting, edge network, basic request logs.
- Supabase — primary database for waitlist records and Operator Points ledger.
- Resend — transactional email (confirmation, dispatches).
- PostHog — product analytics on the landing page and signup funnel.
Future Remount Operator Accounts
When Remount Operator Accounts open this summer, deposits will be held in savings accounts in your name at a partner bank with FDIC insurance— not in Remount's custody. Remount never takes custody of your funds. A separate banking privacy disclosure will apply at that stage.
Future fleet-equity offering
Any future offering of fractional ownership in an autonomous-vehicle fleet will be made through a registered SPV under SEC Regulation A+ or Regulation CF. That offering, if made, will come with its own prospectus, risk disclosures, and subscription documents. Nothing on the waitlist today is an offer or solicitation to buy a security.
Your rights
- Delete anytime. Email hello@remount.co with “delete” in the subject; we process deletion within 24 hours.
- Access or correct your data. Reply to any email from us to request a copy or a correction.
- Unsubscribe. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
Security
Waitlist data is stored in an access-controlled Supabase project. Only authorized Remount operators can read it, and server-side writes go through a service role — the public website can't read signups, only write them.
Children
Own The Bot is intended for rideshare drivers and other adult workers considering autonomy-era employment transitions. Do not sign up if you are under 18.
Changes
We'll note material changes at the top of this page. This is a v1 policy; a counsel-reviewed version will replace it before the Remount Operator Accounts launch.
